Number Press

Praeter Software’s Number Press application is ideally suited for organizations or businesses that need to number their documents. Numbering 100 forms, for example, is no problem for the Number Press application – this handy tool makes numbering documents a very simple task.

Number Press is available for Microsoft’s Windows operating system and for Apple’s Mac OS X. To run Number Press on your PC, you need it to be powered by Windows XP or a newer version of the Windows operating system and you need a monitor capable of 1280x800 or higher resolution. To run Number Press on your Mac, you need it to be powered by OS X 10.6 or higher; you also need a monitor capable of 1280x800 or higher resolution.

The application’s interface is nicely laid out and easy to use. At the top you have a traditional File menu and a bunch of buttons for several functions the application can perform. To the left you have panes for Basic and Advanced Numbering, Document and Background Info, Text, Background, and Other Settings. To the right you have panes for Position Data, Quick Layout, and Variable Data.

To help you better understand what can be achieved with this application, a bunch of examples are included with the Number Press demo. This is not to say that using the application is a difficult task – because it is not. Just select the font style, size and color you want to use, pick the numbering settings you want via the Numbering Assistant, choose where you want the numbers to be displayed on the document, then generate a numbered document.

Please note that the Number Press demo locks the prefix as “Demo” and puts two watermarks on exported documents.
